General: Before registering for any workshop, check the recommended skill level. Most classes require an additional fee beyond event registration. To insure quality instruction, class sizes are limited. Register early as classes often fill in advance. If a class is canceled, you will be notified in advance and receive a refund.
All workshops are 1.5 to 3 hours long.
Casting Classes: Some rods & reels are available for instructional use, but it’s preferred that you bring your own.
Fly Tying Classes: Bring your own lamp, vise, tools & tying thread. Some tools are available for beginning tying sessions. Materials will be provided. All classes are indoors.

| Tying Whitlocks MouseRat | Award-winning tier Jerry Coviello has created dozens of fly tying videos and is recognized as one of the most complete fly tiers in the country. In this class, Jerry will instruct on tying Dave Whitlock's Mouse Rat - an introduction to deer hair techniques. The WMR is a realistic looking pattern that can be used for chasing predatory species at night, early morning or dark days. It's also a great fly to learn the two basic, but different hair-tying techniques: Stacking and Spinning. Limited to 8 students. |

| Imitative Shrimp Pattern | One of the nation's top realistic tiers will teach you how to tie an imitative brown shrimp pattern too pretty NOT to fish. Yet surprisingly simple to tie. This fly will work in saltwater, freshwater, and brackish. You will learn to utilize monofilament as a bulk tying medium. Workshop attendees will receive a full tool and materials list as well as a step-by-step of this this pattern by email after you sign up. |

| Casting Basics | In this class, an FFI Certified Casting Instructor will teach the basics of fly casting with attention to: casting fundamentals, the Overhead Cast (PULD), the Roll Cast, False casting, Basic line management including stripping line and shooting line, and self-diagnostics. Bring your own equipment if you have it, otherwise equipment will be provided for use during the class. Limited to 10 students. | |
| Advanced Deer Hair Tying | The instructor, Dr. Ed Lash, has been recognized in Fly Lords magazine as one of the masters of tying deer hair flies. This is a rare opportunity to learn from the best in constructing a deer hair bug. Students should have a basic knowledge of stacking and spinning deer hair. Techniques will include spotting, packing, shaping, feather placement, mixing colors, and much more! Maximum class size is 6 students. |

| Tying Epoxy Spoon Flies | The Epoxy Spoon Fly developed by Capt. Rich Waldner is as beautiful as it is deadly, and is considered by many expert redfish anglers and guides as one of the top producers for redfish, drum, and other marsh species. In this class, students will tie a size 2 epoxy spoon fly. This is accomplished by shaping the hook to accept a light wire frame upon which epoxy is applied along with appropriate color glitter. Limited to 6 students. |
